I'm George and I take photos. I studied History in college so I'm kind of obsessed with context. I think it's important to play the big picture off against the details, things become more interesting when they're multi-layered. I'm at my happiest when I'm able to get out and go somewhere interesting, ideally with tasty light. Even if it means getting up at 5AM and/or getting my feet wet. I pretty much live on either my board or my bike. Massive rucksack is my staple. I can't go grab a coffee if I'm not prepared for an emergency two-day hike.
For the last year or so, I've been raising a baby publishing imprint with my homie Ellius. Junior Press is our way of giving props to the amazing photography talent coming out of Ireland. We publish an annual showcase magazine called Junior and supplement it with a smattering of zines, showcases and photography knitting circles. We're currently hard at work putting together our second issue which you can support here.
Also, if anyone wants to chat about the history of the Reformation in 16th century Scotland, I can hang.
You can follow my daily hijinks, say hi to my dog and see what I ate for breakfast on my Instagram.
